Extending from CIII Fall to CIII Spring 2012?

You must submit a Request for Final Approval (RFA) of extension before November 1.
Fall Carlos III University Hispanic Studies may extend to the Spring term at CIII and must take regular university courses as this program has been designed as a regular immersion program with EAP students taking *all their courses from regular Carlos III facultades with Spanish students.
· Minimum 18.0 UC quarter units required

* Note: we will allow Fall CIII students to take 1 Hispanic Studies course

We recommend students that they take regular courses from first and second years. Regular courses from third and fourth years may be more specific and require previous knowledge.

VISA EXTENSION (VERY IMPORTANT!!!)

CIII students who are considering extending from CIII fall to CIII spring have to start the visa renewal process within 30 days starting from the day they enter the Schengen zone. They must hold a 90 day visa to do that. If students hold a 180 day visa , the renewal process must happen in the US, not in Spain.
All those students holding a 90 day visa will be asked to submit the following items to the EAP center staff and then they’ll present them to the appropriate authorities for processing:

- 2 passport photos
- Passport (original and copy)
- Visa (copy) with the entry stamp to Spain or any other Shengen country.
- Letter of acceptance (given by the EAP local staff)
- Application form from the Ministery of Foreign Affairs (given by the EAP local staff).
